The limitations of conventional messengers

Many people use apps like LINE, Telegram, and Signal, which boasts high security, but they all have some vulnerabilities against Cellebrite's analysis technology. For example, LINE partially implements end-to-end encryption (E2EE), but since messages and media files are stored on the server side, there is a risk that information could fall into the hands of third parties. Regarding Telegram, regular chats are stored in the cloud, and true E2EE is only applied to a limited feature called "Secret Chat." On the other hand, Signal adopts very strong E2EE, with messages not remaining on the server and being deleted once delivered to the recipient. However, if the smartphone device itself is analyzed, there remains a possibility that some information can be recovered.
